Elliott Daniel Hansen
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Doug & Donna Hansen; and great-grandparents, Roger & June Jackson.
Survived by his mother and stepfather, Corissa & Brian Foss; father, Brad Hansen; siblings: Hannah Foss, Elizabeth Foss, and Tenley Hansen; grandparents, Ronald & Christine Hanzal, and Frank & Robin Valasquez; aunt, Alissa (Jason) Maier; many other family and friends.
On July 3, 2008, Elliott came into this world and blessed our family with his love and light. At 2 months of age, he was diagnosed with atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor (AT/RT) of the brain and rhabdoid tumor of the kidney, with only a 3 percent chance of survival. He fought and survived further tumors at 16 months and 8 years of age, and August of this year was diagnosed with his 4th occurrence that ultimately took his life at the age of 15. Elliott was a vivacious, witty, charming, smart, loving, resilient, carefree, and no-nonsense boy that loved life and emitted an aura of pure unconditional love to every person he met. His uncanny charm brightened our days as he lived each moment to his fullest. Elliott’s love of music, numbers, spelling words, beat boxing to his favorite songs and bowling were just a few of the things that he enjoyed, and his infectious laugh and smile would brighten the days of everyone he encountered. Elliott’s agenda was simple: he lived in the present, spent his time doing what he enjoyed, and surrounded himself with the people that he loved. Elliott was a 9th grader at Rosemount High School and spent his school years at Bluff Creek Elementary in Chanhassen, Diamond Path Elementary in Apple Valley, Shannon Park Elementary in Rosemount, and Scott Highland’s Middle School in Apple Valley. Elliott passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his mother.
