Ellen A. Crist, age 89, of Hastings, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Regina Hospital in Hastings.
Ellen was born on September 21, 1935, in Walcott Township, MN, to Joseph and Marie (Anhorn) Mechura. She was a devoted and compassionate mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her family.
She is survived by her children, Mary Horst, Glen Crist, Dale Crist, and Lori Crist; her siblings, Doreda Cannon and Clayton Mechura; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives, and dear friends.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Edwin Crist; her brothers, Roger, Joseph, and Milton Mechura; sisters, Marie Yule and LaJune Benbo.
No services will be held at this time. Arrangements are being handled by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel.
