Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Schoen

Elizabeth A. "Betty" Schoen, age 84, of Hastings died peacefully at home, Wednesday, November 2, 2022 surrounded by family members.

Elizabeth Ann was born June 6, 1938, in St. Paul, Minnesota to Leslie J. and Angela M. (Fehlen) Moris. Elizabeth graduated Hastings High School in 1957 and later married Peter Schoen. She was retired from Dakota County as a court attendant. She also worked for Darlene Bohlken for Bridgeport interiors

Betty loved everything outdoors, especially her gardens and music. She played the accordion in a band with her sisters since she was a little girl and continued to play throughout her life. She was a devoted Christian who was very active in her church. The greatest gift she gave her girls, was the knowledge and love of Jesus.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Peter Schoen; and step-son, Kurt Schoen.

Elizabeth is survived by children, Linda (Rich) Myklebust, Shari (Doug) Maxon, Barb (Jim) Bowen, and Sandy (Jim) Leifeld; grandchildren, Elizabeth Maxon, Lucas Maxon, Elijah Bowen, Savannah Bowen, Logan Leifeld, Georgia Bowen, and Sam Leifeld; sisters, Dorothy (Roger) Hartung, Jeanette (Neil) Shingledecker, Elaine (Butch) Ludolph, and Marcie Carpenter.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, November 10, 2022 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Hastings, MN at 11:00 A.M with a visitation being held from 9:00 A.M. until time of service. Burial will follow at 12:00 P.M. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Cemetery with a reception to follow back at St. John's Lutheran Church.
