Edith C. Kaiser (Specht)

Edith C. Kaiser (Specht), age 76 of Hastings, passed away on Friday morning, October 7, 2022, at Augustana Care of Hastings.

Edith Charolette, the Daughter of Donald and Lorna (Daley) Specht, was born November 8, 1945, in Hastings. She graduated from Hastings High School with the class of 1963 and on September 18, 1964, she married her best friend and high school sweetheart, Kenneth Kaiser, at First Presbyterian Church in Hastings. She served her community proudly by being a former chair of the Hastings Planning Commission. She was very beloved by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry Specht; sister-in-laws, Kate Specht and Trudy Specht.

Edith is survived by her loving children, Karri Lynn Donnay of Hastings and Christopher George (Katrina) Kaiser of Woodbine, GA; seven grandchildren; brothers, Wayne of Hastings, and Gordy of Hastings; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Edith will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings with visitation two hours prior to the service. Gordon Gathright will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings.
