Dennis J. Murphy

Dennis John Murphy, age 76, life-long resident of Antioch, Illinois, passed away surrounded by family on July 4, 2022 at his daughter’s home in Hastings, MN. Preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Delores and his wife, Kristyn. Dennis is survived by his sister, Karen (Steve); his 2 daughters, Sarah (Shawn) and Lisa (Chad); and his 7 grandchildren, Douglas (17), Norah (15), Violet (14), Simon (5), Willow (4), Wesley (4), and Winnie (2); and many nieces and nephews. Dennis worked hard running his own excavation business for over 40 years. He was well-liked in the Antioch Community. He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Dennis fought a 24-year battle with Parkinson's disease. Though his body eventually failed him, he remained youthful in spirit and sharp-witted almost to the very end.
