Deborah "Debbie" Nelson, of Hastings, MN and formerly Mandan, ND passed away peacefully on June 13, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Debbie was born January 17, 1954 to Jacob and Louise Sackman in Dickinson, North Dakota. She graduated from Mandan High School, and was married to Bob Nelson on September 24, 1971. They were blessed with two children, Brandon and Chad in their time together. She was extremely talented at crafting, home interiors, flower arrangements, and enjoyed gardening with her husband. She loved being a grandma, and was extremely proud of her two grandsons Daniel and Jaden.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; and aunts and uncles.
She was survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Bob; sons Brandon (Heather) and Chad (Melissa) Nelson; grandsons Daniel (Janeeta) and Jaden Nelson; and many wonderful neighbors and friends who she greatly cherished.
A celebration of life will be held for Debbie in North Dakota at a later date.
