Deb A. Kasel

Deb A. Kasel, 65, of Hastings passed away after a long battle with heart disease on May 30, 2022 with her husband Dave and family by her side. She was born January 4, 1957 to Frank and Loretta (Raway) Frandrup in Red Wing, Minnesota and grew up in Vermillion. Deb graduated in 1975 from Hastings High School. On June 28, 1980 Deb married Dave Kasel in Vermillion and together they raised their daughter Katie. Deb worked 32+ years with Wells Fargo in Hastings. She loved spending time with grandkids and family every chance she could. Gardening, spending time at the cabin, motorcycling, boating and camping were always fun for Deb. She and Dave enjoyed wintering in Arizona, quading and traveling. Deb loved to party and socialize with friends out and about and sitting on her patio. Her dry sense of humor and wit will be missed by those who got it and loved her. She was a strong and loving wife and mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt and spoiled her grandchildren often! Survived by her husband of 29 days short of 42 years, Dave; daughter, Katie (Kyle) Fox, grandchildren, Brooke and Tyler; siblings, Dar (Gale) Mann, Ron (Donna) Frandrup, Duane (Deb) Frandrup, Shirley (Tony) Tix, Renee (Warren) Vought; in-laws, Ken (Boots) Murray, Ken King, and by other friends and relatives. Preceded in death by parents; siblings, Karen Murray and Mary King; niece, Lori Tix. Visitation will be Monday, June 6 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am with Memorial Service beginning at 11:00am at the Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel with Father Tix presiding. Luncheon to follow and Deb's final wish was to join Dave's family and friends at Dugarels after lunch for cocktails, complimentary of Deb to tell stories and laugh. Arrangements are being handled by the Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel. In lieu of flowers and to honor Deb's legacy and final wishes, please bring a gift to donate for Toys for Tots.
