David J. Martin

David Martin, age 51, of Hastings, passed away at his significant other's place in Red Wing on Saturday, August 27, 2022.

David was born on January 16, 1971 in Hastings to Elmo & Gloria (Pechacek) Martin. He was a 1990 Park High School of Cottage Grove graduate. He had many jobs throughout his lifetime cleaning homes, paper delivery, garage mechanic, gas station cashier and stocker, and factory work to name a few. He enjoyed working on cars and small engines the most.

David enjoyed dogs and owned many throughout his life. Out of all the places he lived, he enjoyed Bloomington the best. His favorite hobbies were fishing- either in a boat or on the pier, and camping in a tent.

David is preceded in death by his mom, Gloria, sister Terri, and nephew Kevin.

David is survived by his dad, Elmo (Marilyn), sisters Patricia (Kearn) and Barbara (Jim), significant other Violet, and many aunts, uncles, three nieces, and two nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 11th, at 11:00 A.M. at the Church of St. Rita in Cottage Grove, MN with a visitation being held one hour prior.
