Dana M. (Larson) Croft, age 43, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, November 18, 2022 from ovarian cancer. She was a true warrior living far longer than anyone thought possible.
Dana had a larger than life personality with a wickedly funny, often x-rated, sense of humor! She had a gift for meeting and connecting with people instantly. Dana strongly believed in being an advocate for herself. Because of her insistence in having genetic testing done, she saved her sister Sarah's life, though sadly too late to save her own.
Dana had many jobs over the years, she was especially proud of her job at Blue Cross working with her aunt, MaryLou. She also worked as a server for many years, her absolute favorite job was at Axel's in Chanhassen. she often talked about her amazing coworkers and customers. Of all the things she did in her too short life, she was most proud of being Kylie's mom. It broke her heart to know she wouldn't be here to see her grow up.
Dana is preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond and Annetta Larson, Lawrence and Jeanette Schmitz, Dick Niederkorn; brother, Michael Larson; uncle, Jim Schmitz; and aunts, Beth Schmitz Warters, Linda Helten.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Kylie Johnson (Kylie's dad, Brandon Johnson), Chanhassen; father, Lloyd Larson, Farmington; mother, Linda Larson, Hastings; sisters, Sarah Larson, Hastings and Britt (Larry Provost) Larson Green; nieces, Jada and Ava Green, Hastings; roommate and best friend, Jeff Betterley; "best doctor in the whole world and friend, Jean Kummer; and many, many loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials for Kylie, Dana's daughter, would be appreciated.
A Celebration of Dana's Life will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm December 10, 2022, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, with prayer service beginning at 3:00 pm.
