Cynthia "Cindy" Bauerfeld

Cynthia Ann Bauerfeld, 65, of Hastings, passed away after a courageous struggle with ALS.

She was born November 2, 1957 to James and Beverly (Dion) Adams in St. Paul, Minnesota and graduated from Brady High School in 1976.

On October 21, 1977 she married Don Bauerfeld and together raised their two daughters. Cindy graduated from beauty school and eventually co-owned Shear Attraction Salon in Hastings for over 20 years. She truly loved her work and valued her friendships with all her clients and co-workers.

Cindy's greatest joy was her family. She loved spending time with her grandkids, cheering them on in all their activities. Her deep faith in God gave her strength throughout her life, especially during her illness. Cindy loved baking, quilting, swimming and spending time at their cabin in Webster, WI. She had a passion for travel and adventure and loved life! Her love and presence will be missed forever.

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Don; daughters, Jennifer (Erik) Cox, Julie (Nick) Langley; grandchildren, Calvin, Oliver, Benjamin, James, Maxwell, Jude, Micah, Eden; siblings, Jay (Nancy) Adams, Jeff Adams, Mary Jo (Larry) Grabau, Joe (Tina) Adams, Andrea (Doug) Silverman; and many dear friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Adams.

Visitation will be 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Tuesday, April 4th at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Wednesday, April 5th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hastings, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials directed to ALS Chapter of MN, Hastings Family Service or Sharing and Caring Hands.
