Christopher “Chris” Tuckner, age 62, of Hastings passed away in the early morning on March 19th, 2023 after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Chris was born on March 4th, 1961 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Paul, MN. He attended Cretin High School, from which he graduated in 1979. After graduation, Chris joined the Army National Guard and was part of the 257th Military Police Company. Chris was an avid outdoorsman in every way as he loved spending his time on the boat or in the woods. When Chris wasn’t casting a line or hunting, he enjoyed watching baseball, football, or hockey. He was a loyal fan of the Twins, Vikings, Wild, and Gophers. Chris loved sharing his passions with his friends and his children, to whom he passed on his love for sports and the outdoors. Chris was a master with a smoker, specializing in anything from ribs to salmon. He also loved hosting fish fry's with his family. Those closest to him will also remember his love of movies and music, especially when they blast their “dad tunes” on long drives.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Irvin and Charlotte Rubbelke, and Kathleen (Charlie) Kyle; and father, Frederick Tuckner.
Chris is survived by his mother, Irene (Tom) O’Ryan; uncle and godfather, Phil Tuckner, and six loving children which he shared with Belinda Tuckner; Nick (Erica) Tuckner, Matthew Tuckner, Andrew (Bethany) Tuckner, Benjamin (Jade Gertzen) Tuckner, Aaron (Katie) Tuckner, and Sarah Tuckner; grandchildren, Peyton Tuckner, Dallas Tuckner, Hadley Tuckner, Landon Tuckner, Aurora Tuckner, Weston Tuckner, and Hudson Tuckner; siblings, Mary (Darrell) Myers, Julie (Andrew) Stark, Michael Tuckner, Jeffery Tuckner, James Tuckner and five step siblings; best friends, Colt Tuckner and Ernie Companion; and many others that called him a friend or family.
