Carol Bahe (Swanson) 88, of Hastings, MN passed away surrounded by her family on June 27, 2024, after a short illness.
She is survived by her loving husband Ivan of nearly 68 years, sister Lois Groskopf, sister Charlotte Mueller, brother Charlie (Pat) Swanson and sister Bert (Mike) Rowan, nephews and nieces; Jeff (Susan Spillman) Rowe, Julie (Bob) Hicks, Peggy (Mike) Reagan, Tim Rowe, Karen (Craig) Henke, Steve (Beckie) Duff, Sara Nelson and many more nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Ruth (Kingston) Swanson, sister Lucille (John) Weiss, brother and sister-in-law Clifford (Snook) Swanson, brother-in-law Joseph Mueller, sister Janet Lange, brother Jim Swanson, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Karla (Roger) Duff and sister-in-law Jinny (Bahe) Rowe.
Carol worked at Minnesota Life, now Securian, in the Individual Life Insurance Department for 36 years. She and Ivan enjoyed 24 winters in Mesa, AZ. She loved golf and skiing and was an excellent gardener, cook, baker, and seamstress. Her warmth, generosity, and quick wit endeared her to many lifelong and new friends.
Visitation Monday, July 1, 2024, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion St. Hastings, MN. Celebration of Life, Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church (Denmark Township) 8435 St. Croix Trail South, Hastings, MN.
