Bradd H. McNaughton

Bradd H. McNaughton, age 74 of Hastings, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday morning, March 2, 2025. Bradd carried through his diagnosis with strength and courage right to his final moments here on earth.

Bradd Henry, the son of John and Delores (Schroeder) McNaughton, was born along with his twin brother Bruce "Duke", on February 2, 1951. Following his graduation with the Hastings High School Class of 1969, Bradd continued his education first at St. Cloud State and then Mankato State. On May 12, 1973, he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Deborah "Debbie" Slattum. They were blessed with nearly fifty-two years of marriage, two daughters, five grandchildren, and many memories with family and friends.

Bradd began working for his dad at Maco-B Bar in Hastings, which he later owned for over a decade. He enjoyed seeing many of his good friends on a regular basis, and became a talented pool shooter, something he enjoyed all throughout his life. After selling, Bradd started working in car sales, first at Becker's and eventually at Valley Chevrolet where he officially retired from for the second time. Even to his final day, Bradd was a diehard Viking fan that never missed the chance to cheer them on. He loved fishing with his brother, Duke, playing cards, and riding motorcycle. Most of all, Bradd cherished the time spent with his close-knit family, especially his siblings and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bradd is survived by his loving wife, Debbie; daughters, Jodi (Dale "Shorty") Spohn and Jaime (Eric) Besser; grandchildren, Zac, Jared, and Kylie Spohn and Hannah and Isaac Besser; twin brother, Duke McNaughton; siblings, Barbara (Dave) Harris, Tim (Sharon) McNaughton, Patrick (Mary) McNaughton, and Kellie McNaughton (Jay Farber); mother-in-law, Miriam Rooney; and by several beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

A Celebration of Bradd's Life will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2025, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings. Following the service, we will continue to celebrate his life with food and beverages until 7:00 p.m. Private family interment will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers and plants, Bradd's family kindly requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association or to the donor's choice in his memory.
