Bonnie R. Hoekstra, age 92, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Lakeshore Healthcare in Minneapolis, MN.
Bonnie Rae Hoekstra was born on April 1, 1931 to parents Roy and Lillian Osmonson in Round Lake, Minnesota. Bonnie was an excellent cook and baker, everyone loved her pies. She loved to feed everyone around her. Bonnie had a true passion for dancing, being on the water, and fishing any chance she could. She loved her children, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren endlessly. They truly lit up her life every time she saw them. She always had time for all of her family, especially all of her grandchildren. Bonnie sincerely had a heart of gold. She would give anything to help those around her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Lillian; and daughters, Penny and April.
Bonnie is survived by her beautiful sister, Ginger; brothers, Gordie and Larry; children, Julie (Bryan) Hoekstra, Robbie Hoesktra, Rainy Osmonson, Jamie (Wendy) Hoekstra, Joe Hoekstra, Scott (LeeAnne) Hoekstra, and Sandy (Cindy) Hoekstra; multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and many special friends who will love her forever.
