Ardyce "Ardy" K. Anderson

Ardyce "Ardy" K. Anderson, age 88, of Hastings, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Regina Senior Living.

Ardy was born on June 22, 1936, to Frederick and Kyra (McWaters) Lomker in Hastings. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1954. After marrying Richard Anderson, they embarked on a 24-year journey as a military family, living in various places, her favorite being Italy, before returning to Hastings in 1978, where they remained ever since.

A dedicated and hardworking woman, Ardy found her greatest joy in being a grandmother. She cherished the Fourth of July, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and visiting the casino to try her luck at the penny slots. Ardy and Richard shared many adventures, enjoying winters camping in Texas and Mississippi.

Known for her loving and selfless nature, Ardy always prioritized the needs of others. Her kindness and generosity endeared her to all who knew her, including lifelong friends from her grade school days. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, participating in numerous church groups. She also dedicated many years of volunteer service to the hospital auxiliary, where she worked in the gift shop.

Ardy is survived by her children, Allan (Susy Costello) Anderson, Lizanne McClellan, and Conrad (Carol) Anderson; grandchildren, Colton (Lisa) Pratt, Bailey (Rich Ramirez) Pratt, Courtney Anderson, and Kyra Anderson; great-grandchildren, Adrianna Teicher, Rowan Pratt, and Giannia "GiGi" Ramirez; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; her brother, Roger Lomker; and by her son-in-law, Brian McClellan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the General Upgrade Fund at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hastings. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Allina Hospice, especially her nurse Rick, for their compassionate care, as well as the staff of the Transition Care Unit.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 202 8th St W, Hastings, MN 55033. A visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. A reception will follow the service, with burial at Lakeside Cemetery.
