Adrienne R. Malszycki

Adrienne R. Malszycki, age 97, of Hastings, passed away January 22, 2023.

She was born in St Cloud, MN on August 6, 1925. Her family moved to Winona in the 1930’s as her father found work there as a mechanic. She graduated from Winona Sr High in 1944 and found work in Winona. She met David Malszycki in her early 20’s and they were married in August of 1951. David worked for Armour Meat company and he was transferred to the South Saint Paul facility at the stockyards in 1965. Dave, Adrienne and their children moved to Hastings in May of that year. Adrienne continued her work in the retail clothing industry at Lynn Rose Fashions and later at Perman’s, both located in Hastings.

Having moved to a senior living condominium in the late 90’s, Adrienne stayed there after David’s passing in 2013 until 2022, when her health directed a move to Assisted Living at Oakridge. A broken hip placed her in recovery at Cassia Senior Living in Hastings (Augustana) until she passed on Sunday, the 22nd of January, 2023 at the age of 97.

Adrienne is preceded in death by her husband, David; son, Neil; father, Adrian; mother, Amelia “Millie”; and brother, Richard Kesler.

She is survived by her sons, Michael and Douglas; daughter, Barbara; granddaughters, Dana, Emily, Kristi and Katie; grandsons, Jadde and David; 12 great grandchildren; and brother, David Kesler.

Private family services are being held.
